MaryBeth Martin, Vice-President and Treasurer of Desert Mountain Agency, Inc. and Arizona Assurance Agency, Inc. grew up on Long Island, New York. She moved with her family to Yorba Linda, California in 1979 and graduated from Esperanza High School in 1981. MaryBeth was a home engineer, caring for her three children and spending much of her time with the City of Phoenix in their Senior Services Department. She began her insurance career in 1997 with Humana Insurance, where she trained in Group and Individual Life and Health as an Agent.

Mrs. Martin joined J. B. Martin Group in 2001 and is now the Administrative Manager for both operations and directs the customer service operations for both Agencies.

Dr. Maria Barone, is a graduate of George Mason University in Virginia with a Masters Degree in Multicultural/Multilingual Education and a Ph.D. in Psychology. Dr. Barone has over 20 years experience in insurance including direct sales and management with the Health Markets Insurance Company and received the Multi Million Dollar Quality Award in the Southwest Region in 1998. Although she has consulted with the Agency for over 10 years, she joined J. B. Martin Agency full time in 2009 providing her expertise in Life, Health, and Financial Planning.

Justin Hamm graduated from Sandia High School in 2005 and joined J. B. Martin in 2006 while working on his bachelors degree. Mr. Hamm is the commercial lines production manager for the Agency and handles all commercial lines service needs as well as customer service on all other lines of business. Justin is also busy with his son Skylar.

Gene and Karen Young, both graduates of McMurry University in Abilene, Texas earning Bachelor of Science and Bachelors of Business Administration respectively. The Youngs have been in the insurance business for a combined 60 years, owning their own independent agency in the 1980s and concentrating on group and life and health coverage for the past 25 years. Their knowledge can help guide you through the maze of insurance products to help you select the coverage and products that meet your needs.

Denise Estes, a Native New Mexican, has been serving New Mexico companies with their health and benefit needs for over 15 years. She understands today’s small business, their struggles, and the economic impact on their insurance needs and future growth. She has worked with both the Department of Defense and Department of Energy and other federal and state agencies and commercial clients to provide best in class service to her customers. She serves as the Governing Council Vice-President and Audit Committee Member for a Charter School in the Greater Albuquerque. She has an advance degree in Science and Technology, is a Certified Project Manager from PMI, and is a Licensed Agent in Life, Health, and Disability.

Jacqueline Carnevale, a graduate of Chaparral High School in 2002, has continued her education at Northern Arizona University and Arizona State University. She joined Martin Group in 2009 and runs the Arizona Branch.

Kathleen Carnevale grew up in Scottsdale Arizona has worked with J. B. Martin Agency since 2005 and assists in customer service in all lines of insurance. Katie has continued her studies in college and is now back with the agency after having her first child this past summer.
